WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that Dean College field hockey's Emily Yazzetti (Mahopac, N.Y.) and Mya Dixon (Benton, Maine) have earned Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively. 

Yazzetti, the junior standout who earned post-season MVP and First-Team All-GNAC honors last year, continued her dominance on the field, scoring three goals and one assist, including the game winner, in a 7-6 overtime victory over Plymouth State on Wednesday. She followed that up with two goals on Saturday in a 4-2 conference win over New England College. Yazzetti currently leads the Bulldogs with seven goals and sixteen points on the season, good for second best in the league in both categories. 

Dixon, a first-year forward, made her mark in both contests this week. She scored her first collegiate goal against Plymouth State midway through the second quarter, before adding her first collegiate assist a few minutes later to help power the Bulldogs to victory. In Saturday's win over NEC, Dixon registered her first career start and contributed a goal late in the first-half to help the Bulldogs expand their advantage, helping Dean to the 4-2 GNAC win.
