Dean College

Home of the Dean College Bulldogs

Grant Field (60 School Street, Franklin, Mass.)

Named after Edward Leslie Grant, a Franklin, Massachusetts native who attended Dean Academy, who played third baseman in Major League Baseball and became one of the few major players who were killed in World War I. The field is evidence of the College's ongoing commitment to providing the best possible opportunities for its student-athletes, a new synthetic surface was installed in the Summer of 2015. Grant Field, which sits behind Pieri Gymnasium and is adjacent to the Dean Hall parking lot, is home to the field hockey and men's and women's lacrosse programs, while also serving as the primary location for football practices as well as recreation and intramural activities. A new digital, wireless scoreboard was added in the Fall of 2017 and is adjourned to a residence hall, giving the board maximum exposure to spectators and game personnel alike.
