PLYMOUTH, N.H. – In a game that saw 13 combined goals, the Dean College field hockey team took home the overtime victory over Plymouth State University by a final score of 7-6. With the Wednesday win, Dean improved to 4-1 overall, while the Panthers dropped to 0-6.

Sara Gardner (Hampstead, Md.) officially reached 300 career saves. She is the second goalkeeper in program history to reach the 300 save milestone, sitting right behind alumnus Mackenzie Fillion (New Bedford, Mass.)
How it Happened:
-Senior
Emily Kilpatrick (Marion, Mass.) opened the scoring at 5:36, giving Dean an early 1-0 lead.
Emma Gragen (Brattleboro, Vt.) followed just over two minutes later, finishing a feed from
Emily Yazzetti (Mahopac, N.Y.) to put the Bulldogs ahead 2-0.
-Plymouth State answered with three straight goals to take a 3-2 lead, but Dean quickly regained its offensive rhythm. First-year
Mya Dixon (Benton, Maine) tied the game at 21:53 with her first collegiate goal, assisted by Gragen.
-After Plymouth State took the lead once more, Gragen struck again at 24:28, this time converting a pass from Dixon. The game was once again tied at 4-4.
-Yazzetti added another goal at 27:39, giving the Bulldogs a 5-4 advantage going into halftime.
-Plymouth State tied the game just 4:38 into the third quarter. Lexi Berrettini grabbed her first of the game to make it 5-5. This would also be the only goal scored in the third quarter.
-The Panthers took the lead once again in the fourth quarter. Georgia Coleman scored the goal, giving them a 6-5 advantage with under eight minutes to play.
-Yazzetti answered the call at 54:09, scoring her second goal of the afternoon to even the game at 6-6. The Bulldogs and Panthers battled through the remainder of regulation, sending the contest to overtime.
-Just over a minute into overtime, Yazzetti completed her hat trick. Kilpatrick provided the assist on the game-winning goal, giving Dean the dramatic 7-6 victory.
