Winthrop, MA- the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that the Dean College men's volleyball team has been awarded the Institutional Leadership Award for the 2025 season. Junior
Arthur Felicio (Saugus, Brazil) has also been named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Although the season was not what the Bulldogs had hoped, the team was widely recognized by the conference for their sportsmanship and teamwork. The Institutional Leadership Award stands as a token to the team's character, charisma, and work ethic throughout the entirety of the year.
Along with the team's honor, Felicio was also named to the GNAC's All-Sportsmanship Team. Felicio, now finishing his third year on the roster, had a stellar season on the Bulldogs' offense. In a total of 80 sets, Felicio finished with 129 kills (2
nd on team), 2.04 points per set (2
nd on team), and 105 digs (2
nd on team). Felicio's balance of play made him one of the most impactful players on the court.
With this season, Felicio now picks up his second All-Sportsmanship honor. He also was named to the GNAC All-Academic Team in last year's campaign, in addition to being named the 2024 Men's Volleyball MVP.
While balancing all these accolades, Felicio serves as the Head Coach of Medfield High School's varsity volleyball team. In his first season, he guided the team to their first state championship in school history.
