BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - September 27, 2021 - The women's volleyball team was defeated by Bridgewater State, 3-0, by scores of 25-15, 25-8 and 25-12 in non-conference action Monday evening. 

Dean (1-8) returns home on Wednesday to host a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match against Simmons at 6 p.m. The Bears improve to 4-2 and will conclude the month with a home match against conference foe Worcester State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Junior Sari Albury (Nassau, Bahamas) and first-year Janai Price (Providence, R.I.) each had three kills and no errors for the Bulldogs. Senior Amanda Payne (Millis, Mass.) picked up a team best six digs. First-year Emily Larouche (Agawam, Mass.) tallied four aces. 

Bridgewater State received seven kills on .875 hitting from Sydney Rice. Victoria Caiano had an impressive 12 service aces. 

The Bears finished with 29 aces and hit .420 for the match.
