Franklin, MASS.  The Dean College Bulldogs fell to Southern Vermont on Sunday 22-1 at Grant Field.  The game was the season opener for both teams.

Southern Vermont raced out to an early lead in the first 5 minutes of the game and never looked back.

 The Mountaineers were led by Emily Lesure who had 4 goals and 3 assists.  Mel Orrell had 5 goals and 1 assist.  Lauren Nesshoever had 5 goals as well.  Sofia Sorriento had 3 goals and 1 assist.  

Dean enjoyed a standout performance from their goaltender, Madison-Bailey Felton.  She made 14 saves in the loss while also scooping up 5 ground balls.  The Bulldogs lone goal was scored by Madeline LeBeau and assisted by Kim Dickson.  Dickson also had 4 ground balls and LeBeau had 3. 

The Bulldogs play again next Saturday at Becker College in a 1:00 start.

Southern Vermont is off until March 11th when they play at Purchase at 1:30.
