FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Dean College Department of Athletics & Recreation is pleased to announce the 2026 schedule for baseball. This will be the team's sixth season competing in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).
The Bulldogs' 2026 campaign will be the first under new manager
Tyler Fitzgerald, who was hired in August of 2025. Fitzgerald joins the program after spending one season with Division I University of Massachusetts Lowell as an assistant coach, focusing on the pitching staff.
Dean begins with a neutral site game against Fitchburg State University on February 16
th at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Massachusetts. Three of the first four games will take place at neutral sites (Fitchburg State, Emerson, Brandeis). The Bulldogs' first official road game takes place on February 24
th at Salem State University.
Following the opening four games, the team will head to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Over the course of the week, Dean will be playing nine games in a six-day span.
The week begins with a doubleheader rematch against Otterbein University on March 8
th. Dean is also scheduled to face Manhattanville University, Cairn University, Hilbert College, La Roche University, Pennsylvania College of Technology, and Westminster College.
The Bulldogs return to action with their home opener at Longley Athletic Complex on March 18
th against Massachusetts Maritime University. Dean continues their homestand with five games over a three-day period. The team will play on March 20
th against Curry College, followed by back-to-back doubleheaders on the 21
st and 22
nd.
The Bulldogs will welcome Lasell University on March 21
st for their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup of the season, followed by GNAC opponent Colby-Sawyer College on the 22
nd. In total, Dean will play 15 games at Longley in 2026. This includes 11 GNAC matchups and four non-conference games.
Dean will travel for their first away GNAC series on March 28
th, with a doubleheader against Elms College. Away highlights include April 4
th at New England College, April 12
th at Albertus Magnus College, and April 18
th at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. The Bulldogs' regular season concludes on the road on April 25
th in Nashua, New Hampshire against Rivier University.
