The Bulldogs' offense erupted early, scoring six runs in the second inning. Leading the charge was senior Marcus Baker (Franklin, MA), who delivered a two-RBI double to center field, bringing home Luke Fahey (Glastonbury, CT) and Spencer Lichstrahl (Fort Lauderdale, FL). Rylan Secovich (Southwick, MA) added a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Joshua Cavas (McKinney, TX) and extending the lead to 4–0. The Bulldogs continued to capitalize on Curry's pitching, with Fahey and Lichstrahl each contributing an RBI single, culminating in a six-run second inning that put Dean ahead 6–0.

The Colonels responded in the third and fourth innings, narrowing the deficit to 6–5. However, Dean's offense continued to be relentless. In the fourth inning, Gavin Goss (Glenwood Landing, NY) delivered a crucial two-out RBI single to left field, scoring Tyler Giambra (Prospect, CT) and increasing the lead to 7–5.
