Franklin, MA- During their trio of victories this past week, Dean College Men's Basketball seniors Xavier Boyd (Loganville, GA) and Christian Yeates (Atlanta, GA) both reached 1,000 career points. This is the first time since 2019 that Dean has had two players reach 1,000 points in the same season.

Boyd, playing in his first season with the Bulldogs, officially eclipses the 1,000-point mark after playing for a quartet of institutions. His career began with Penn State University - Fayette. In 28 games for the Nittany Lions, Boyd scored 386 points (13.8 PPG), along with 46 assists and 100 total rebounds.

During his sophomore season, Boyd transferred to Gordon State University, scoring 278 points for the Highlanders. He also beat his previous rebound total from Penn State. Shortly after playing for GSU, Boyd completed his junior campaign for Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. In 24 games for the Stallions, Boyd posted 251 points, 22 assists, 83 rebounds, and 19 steals.

This season, Boyd has already scored 91 points in nine games. He's also posted 37 rebounds and 12 total assists.

Yeates, reaching 1,000 points in Sunday's victory over BSC Buffalo, earns the milestone after an impressive start to the 2025-26 campaign. In nine games for the Bulldogs, Yeates is averaging nearly 18 points per game. This includes four 20-point performances and one double-double.

Before Dean, Yeates played two seasons at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas. During that time, Yeates scored an impressive 566 points, including 408 during his sophomore season. He also produced 124 total rebounds during that year.
In two seasons for the Bulldogs, Yeates has scored 454 points, 189 rebounds, and a staggering 73 steals. He currently ranks within the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) top five in points scored.

This is the first time since 2019 that the program has had two players reach 1,000 career points in the same season. Jordan Booker (Waterbury, CT) and Dayvon Russell (Naugatuck, CT) both reached the four-digit accolade during the 2018-19 season.
