FRANKLIN, Mass. – In the final leg of Saturday's tri-match, Dean College men's volleyball senior
Hunter Armitage (Westerly, R.I.) officially reached 1,000 career assists. He is the first player in program history to reach the milestone.
Armitage's career has been decorated with accolades throughout his time with the Bulldogs. Armitage currently holds the men's record for assists (1,010). He is also 11 service aces away from breaking the program record.
Throughout his career, Armitage has played in 230 sets, amassing over 100 kills and 400 total attempts. He is also six DIGs away from 300 career DIGs.
In a milestone performance against Regis and VTSU-Johnson this past weekend, the senior posted 17 digs, 40 assists, and seven combined kills.
"I credit my work to becoming more consistent year after year," Armitage expressed while reflecting on his achievement. "I also couldn't have done it without teammates around me…I'm just hoping to keep improving this season, just like I have every year I've been here."
Prior to Dean, Armitage attended Westerly High School & played volleyball. He was a division II state finalist during his senior year.
