Westfield, MA – Dean College Football has been selected in finish in 10
th place on this year's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Preseason Poll, as voted by the conference's head coaches.
Football enters the 2025 season with a clean slate. Newly-appointed Head Coach Luke Bakanowsky enters first season at the reigns. The former Division I quarterback brings immense experience and knowledge to the table. He is joined by full-time assistants Chris Redding and Dan McKenna, who both have experience at the Division I level. In total, Dean has added six new coaches to the football staff.
Along with a new coaching staff, the roster has seen a complete overhaul. The Bulldogs added a large group of hungry & talented athletes ready to take the field for week one. Several key veterans will also see their return to action, including
Jerney Price (San Antonio, TX),
Christian Donalson (Albany, GA), and
Santino Ferrante (Shelton, CT).
The Bulldogs will compete in their inaugural season in the MASCAC. To open their schedule, Dean will travel on the road to now-conference opponent Fitchburg State University. The season opener will be played under the lights at 7:00 PM. Football's home opener is currently scheduled for Saturday, September 13
th, versus Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
Other key dates for football include Saturday, October 4
th versus Plymouth State University (Homecoming Weekend) and Saturday, November 1
st versus UMass Dartmouth (Senior Day).
In total, the Bulldogs will compete in a ten-week schedule, include nine conference games and one non-conference game.
