Franklin, MA – Vice President of Athletics and Recreation
Eric Desmond Lee '08 is pleased to announce the hiring of Assistant Football Coach & Recruiting Coordinator
Chris Redding. Redding is now the fourth and final coach to join Dean's football coaching staff.
"I am pleased to announce Coach Redding as the newest addition to our football staff," said Lee. "As the Recruiting Coordinator, Coach Redding will have a pivotal role in ensuring the program's visibility and exposure. His head coaching expertise will also be instrumental in elevating our team to the highest of standards."
Redding joins the Bulldogs staff after serving as the Head Football Coach at Ballantyne Ridge High School, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, Redding guided the Wolves through their inaugural season in 2024. Coach Redding constructed the program from the ground, becoming an active member in the recruiting process while aiding his athletes in reaching the collegiate level.
While Head Coach at Ballantyne Ridge, several players from the football program received offers from NCAA Division I institutions, including the University of Cincinnati, University of Oregon, and North Carolina State University.
"Coach Redding is a massive addition to this Dean Football family," Head Coach
Luke Bakanowsky expressed. Chris is a true "football guy"! He has played and coached for some great football programs. Those experiences are going to allow him to help our guys in a huge way."
Before Ballantyne Ridge, Redding served as an Assistant Coach with the University of Albany in 2022 (Division I - FCS). There, he aided in special teams and other assignments.
In college, Redding played wide receiver at the University of New Hampshire. Prior, he was the Division II Co-Player of the Year and an All-State First Team selection at Burr & Burton Academy. He originally hails from Manchester, Vermont.
