South Hadley, MA- The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) has announced that Dean College men's lacrosse senior
Chris Carbone Jr. (Cranston, RI) has made the 2025 All-Academic Team at the Division III level.
Carbone Jr, recently graduating from the men's lacrosse program, contributed significantly to the team over the last four seasons. The Cranston, Rhode Island native produced over 20 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers just in the 2025 season. He was also one of Dean's starting long-stick defenders, joining forces with
Shawn Beebe (Groton, CT) and
Logan Gravel (Dudley, MA).
Over the course of his career, Carbone has also made the switch from short stick to long stick. The change came just before his junior season, eventually aiding the Bulldogs to their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship Game appearance in 2024.
In four seasons, Carbone Jr. was a three-time GNAC Academic All-Conference selection, multi-time Dean's List member, and men's lacrosse captain.
He was also selected, and participated, in the 2025 NEILA East-West Senior All-Star Game, comprised of outstanding senior athletes across all three NCAA Divisions in New England.
The NEILA All-Academic team recognizes graduating lacrosse seniors who obtained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and are deemed an "impact" player for their respective institution. A total of 354 scholar-athletes were recognized by the NEILA this season, with 226 coming from the DIII level.
Carbone Jr. graduated Dean in May with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management.
