Chris Carbone Jr. and Diego Alvarez-Segee Compete in 2025 NEILA East-West Senior All-Star Game

South Hadley, MA- The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announced Dean College men's lacrosse seniors Chris Carbone Jr. (Cranston, RI) and Diego Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, MA) as members of the East-West Senior All-Star Game roster.

Both Alvarez-Segee and Carbone Jr. are coming off another strong season with the Bulldogs. The men's lacrosse program earned a #3 seed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) playoffs after a 12-4 (6-3) regular season finish. Both also played significant roles in the starting lineup. Alvarez-Segee led the team in goals and total points, while Carbone Jr. finished top five on the team in cause turnovers (13).

Carbone Jr, recently graduating from Dean and the lacrosse program, aided in one of the conference's best defenses this season. The senior defender was a staple in the everyday lineup, keeping attackers and other offensive threats at-bay. He also helped the Bulldogs stay alive in their first-round playoff matchup with Emmanuel College, playing 64 minutes and scooping one ground ball.

Meanwhile, Alvarez-Segee adds another milestone to his already loaded resume. The senior attacker was recently named a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention for the 2nd time in his career. With his stats from the 2025 campaign, he also ends his career as 12th, all-time, in NCAA Division III points scored. The Saugus, Massachusetts native is a four-time GNAC 1st Team All-Conference selection and two-time Butchie Williams '75 Award winner.

This is the third time since joining the NCAA in 2020 that Dean has had at least one player represented at the game. Luke Townsend represented the Bulldogs in 2021, while Peyton Emrick and James Rollins played in 2023.

The 2025 East-West Senior All-Star Game was held on Friday, May 30th, in Providence, Rhode Island. A total of 51 seniors competed across all three NCAA divisions in the New England region. All players and coaches were nominated by the head coaches within the NEILA.

"This is a great opportunity to highlight the college careers of these young men. For many, it is one last time for them to play an organized game against such high competition. It is also a chance to compete with players you may have battled against throughout your college career," NEILA President Tim Murphy expressed in a press release from the association.
