Brookline, MA- The Dean College men's golf team finished third place in their opening match of the season Wednesday afternoon. At the Emmanuel College (MA) Spring Invitational at Brookline Country Club. The Bulldogs (scoring 362) took down Elms, who scored 370, but fell to both Rhode Island College and the tournament hosts, who shot a 308 and 310, respectively. 

Junior Matt Brangiforte (Wrentham, MA) finished with the team's lowest score, shooting an 82 over the course's 18 holes. Brangiforte's score would rank 9th overall among all competitors. Meanwhile, freshman Benjamin Godburn (Montville, CT) finished closely behind with an 85. Adrian Paul (New Bedford, MA) would score third-highest on the team, posting a 97. All five competitors for the Bulldogs would score sub-100 across the course.

Dean will play again on Wednesday, April 23rd, hosting Mitchell College in a head-to-head match at Segregansett Country Club in Taunton, MA.
