Weston, MA- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that the Dean College Men's Golf team has been predicted to finish 6th place in the upcoming GNAC Championship Tournament, as ranked by the conference's head coaches.
The Bulldogs enter the 2025 Championships with a revitalized roster. Three of Dean's starting five members are first-year athletes. Rookie
Case LaChance (Latham, NY) leads the pack after taking home the team's first-ever Rookie of the Week honors. It's also the first time the program has been recognized at the conference level since Michael Keefe took home GNAC Golfer of the Year honors in 2023.
In addition to the high-powered rookies, the Bulldogs see the return of sophomore
Benjamin Godburn (Montville, CT) and senior
Matt Brangiforte (Wrentham, MA). Brangiforte is looking to turn-in another strong tournament, finishing in the top-10 in 2023 and within the top 30 in 2024. He also turned in the best overall score in the Mitchell College Invite earlier this season.
Meanwhile, Godburn has been consistently shooting in the low 80s, guiding Dean towards the top of leader boards.
The Bulldogs will look to improve from their 8th-place finish last season. This year's Championships will take place at the prestigious New Haven Country Club, hosted by Albertus Magnus College. Round one of the tournament will begin promptly at 10:30AM, with first groups teeing off from hole one.
