NEW HAVEN, Conn. – September 6, 2023 - The men's golf team began the season with a three-team tournament at the New Haven Country Club against Albertus Magnus and Purchase. The Bulldogs placed third with a score of 358.  

The Bulldogs will return to New Haven Country Club later in the season for the two-day Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship.

First-year Jonathan Follmer (Sudbury, Mass.) and sophomore Matt Brangiforte (Wrentham, Mass.) each shot an 82 to lead the Bulldogs. Follmer went out in 44 and came in with a 38 in his collegiate debut. Brangiforte had a 43 on the front and a 39 on the back.

Senior Gian Abbonizio (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) posted the third best score with a 91 after a 44 on the front and 47 on the back.  

Sophomore Matthew Fenlason (Winthrop, Maine) rounded out the top-4 scorers with a 113.  

The Bulldogs travel to Rhode Island on Thursday, September 14 for a tournament hosted by Rhode Island College at Valley Country Club.
