THE LEAD:
Nick Vermette and Jake Haraskyo combined for 17 kills and host Nichols College raced past Dean College, 3-0, in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's volleyball action on Friday afternoon. Game scores were 25-14, 25-10, 25-14.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
In addition to Vermette and Haraskyo, Nicholas Basco and Kevin Keohane handed out a combined 34 assists as the Bison racked up 45 kills.

Aaron Brody (Webster, Mass.) ended with four kills and four digs, while John Kauffman (North Providence, R.I.) and Traijan Powell (Sierra Vista, Ariz.) added three kills, five digs and one solo block in his team debut.
