Emerson College used a balanced offensive attack and the host Lions spoiled the Dean College men's volleyball season opener with a 3-0 win over the Bulldogs in non-league action on Thursday evening.

The game scores were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-22.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Samuel Willinger finished with a match-best nine kills and no attack errors for Emerson, while Josh Elliot added six kills and seven digs.

Lucas Raagas, meanwhile, doled out a match-high 25 assists and four service aces.

Dean was paced by John Kauffman (East Providence, R.I.), who had six kills, seven digs and three service aces. Tyler Martins (East Providence, R.I.) chipped in with four kills, four assists and five digs.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday with a non-league meeting against Northern Vermont-Johnson. First serve is slate for 2:00 PM.
