The LEAD: The Bulldogs battled neck and neck with Fisher College, but ultimately fell 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in the final leg of a home tri-match.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Dean dropped set one 25-23 in back and forth affair. The Bulldogs trailed for most of the game, but never by more than three. They took their third lead of the game at 19-18 on a kill from Melanie Rios-Nevarez (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico) but could not counter the Falcons efforts down the stretch.
- Set two was controlled by Fisher from the start. After a Dean point cut the Fisher advantage to 16-12, the Falcons rolled off nine of the last ten points to cruise to a 25-13 victory.
- The third set was tightly contested the entire way. In a game that was tied 13 times, four straight Falcon points turned a 22-21 deficit into a 25-22 decisive final.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Aminah Tsonga (Plainville, Conn) led the Bulldogs with nine kills on 41 attempts. Kaitlyn Anderson (Clinton, Conn) added five kills and Rios-Nevarez added 15 assists. Tsonga, Anderson and Rios-Nevarez also added 13 digs each.
Cynthia Huerta (Salinas, CA) paced Fisher's attack with 17 kills, and Natie Manalo (San Francisco, CA) guided the defense with 20 digs.

THE LEAD: Kaitlyn Anderson's 16 kills helped lead the Bulldogs past Suny-Delhi in Saturday's opening stanza of a tri-match at Pieri Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bulldogs rallied for victory in a close opening set to win 25-22. After trailing 20-15, Dean scored 10 of the last 12 points, including six straight to win.
- SUNY-Delhi rebounded to win set two 25-23. The Broncos controlled the lead for much of the game, but Dean closed to the gap to one at 24-23. An attack error for the Bulldogs gave SUNY-Delhi the victory.
- Dean bounced back to win the final two sets (25-22 and 25-14). In set three, Dean scored four straight to take a 24-19 lead and held on for the 25-22 win. In set four, the Bulldogs rolled. The home squad scored seven of the final eight points to cruise to a 25-14 finish.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Anderson finished with 16 kills and 15 digs, while Tsonga added seven kills and 15 digs of her own.
- Senior captain, Samantha Trullo (Chelmsford, Mass.) contributed four kills and nine digs.
