Box Score 2 FRANKLIN, Mass.- Brody Fredericks and Colin Hinrichs both registered 6 points, powering the Bulldogs to a 14-6 win over Husson on Wednesday at Grant Field. Fredericks had 2 goals and 4 assists and Hinrichs scored 5 goals and added one helper. The win was Dean's eighth straight, improving their record to 8-1 on the year.
The Bulldogs broke the game open with a 4-0 run in the late third and early fourth quarter. After Husson scored three in a row to cut the lead to 6-4, Dean got two goals from Fredericks and one from Hinrichs, with an alley dagger from Kyle Pucci sandwiched between. The 4-0 run stretched Dean's lead to 10-4 and gave the Bulldogs some breathing room against a tenacaious Husson squad.
Dean led 2-0 after one and 6-2 at the break. After the 4-0 run in the second half Husson scored two quickly to cut the lead to 10-6, but Dean stepped on the gas and scored another 4 straight to put the game out of reach.
Zach Glazier led Husson with 2 goals and 1 assist, and Jacob Boothby scored 2 goals as well. Nick Zavorotny made 20 saves in the cage.
In addition to Fredericks and Hinrichs, Ben Sikes scored a hat trick for the Bulldogs. He scored the first two goals of the game. Anthony Trasacco pitched in 2 goals as well and Ethan Demoranville registered his first goal of his career on an assist from Anthony Allard.
Dean plays Mount Ida on Saturday at 1 PM in Newton.
Husson travels to Castleton for a 1 PM start on Saturday, as well.
