FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Dean College men's lacrosse fell in their senior day matchup with Norwich University on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 21-14. With the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss, the Bulldogs drop to 8-6 (5-5 GNAC), while the Cadets improve to 7-7 (6-4 GNAC)

-Prior to the game, the Dean College Department of Athletics & Recreation recognized the five seniors on the men's lacrosse roster:
Joseph Marra (North Branford, Conn.)
Cameron Cummings (Bennington, Vt.),
Kyle Pianka (Greenville, R.I.),
Shawn Beebe (Groton, Conn.), and
Zach Weigold (Lunenberg, Mass.).
How it Happened:
-Norwich jumped out to a fast start in the first quarter, building an early lead before
Manny Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, Mass.) put Dean on the board to settle things down.
-The Bulldogs responded with a quick offensive burst late in the opening frame.
Marc Sauchuk (Uncasville, Conn.) and
Connor McCarthy (Whitman, Mass.) scored back-to-back goals to cut the deficit and regain momentum.
-Dean continued to battle in the second quarter, with
Gavin McCarthy (Whitman, Mass.) finishing a feed from Sauchuk, followed by a goal from
Kevin Gardner (West Haven, Conn.) to keep the Bulldogs within striking distance.
-
Nick Fernandez (Weymouth, Mass.) added a goal during the quarter, while Alvarez-Segee remained active offensively, helping Dean stay competitive despite Norwich maintaining the lead.
-The Cadets closed the half strong, taking a 12–9 advantage into halftime, capitalizing on key possessions and extra opportunities.
-In the third quarter, Dean continued to trade goals, with Fernandez and Alvarez-Segee each finding the back of the net to keep the margin manageable.
-Sauchuk contributed again during the stretch, finishing off a scoring chance off an assist from Alvarez-Segee as the Bulldogs pushed to close the gap.
-Norwich responded with a decisive run midway through the third quarter, extending its lead and regaining control of the game.
-Dean showed resilience late, as
Josh Hackett (Orange, Conn.0 scored off a faceoff win and C. McCarthy added another goal in the closing minutes.
-Despite the continued push for Dean, the Cadets held on for the 21–14 final victory.
