Box Score 2 FRANKLIN, Mass. - With a balanced scoring attack that featured goals from 9 different players, the Dean College Bulldogs engulfed Daniel Webster 17-6 at Grant Field on Wednesday. The win was Dean's sixth straight, improving their record to 6-1 on the season.
Dean was led by Anthony Trasacco, and Kyle Pucci. Trasacco has 4 goals and 3 assists and Pucci had 3 goals and 2 assists. Brody Fredericks scored 4 goals and Colin Hinrichs added 1 goal and 2 assists. Westley Reel and Aidan Carr stood out on the defensive end, holding two of Daniel Webster's top scorers in check throughout the contest. Reel added a goal and an assist as well.
Dean led 3-1 after one quarter and 9-2 at halftime. Daniel Webster got on the board first with an unassisted tally from Brandon Beard off a deflection. Dean responded with goals from Fredericks and Hinrichs to take a 2-1 lead, and Pucci added another at the :59 second mark off a feed from Sikes to push the lead to 3-1.
The Bulldogs opened up the scoring in the second quarter. Marcus Richardson scored on the doorstep off a feed from Pucci to stretch the lead to 4-1, but Daniel Webster responded quickly with a man up goal from Brian Visco, fed by Gavin Abbott. Dean then ripped off the game's next 13 goals to put the game completely out of reach. The run started with an unassisted tally from Pucci, followed by a goal from Trasacco on a cross crease feed from Hinrichs.
Reel scored unassisted on a fast break, and Fredericks and Pucci tacked on two more to lead 9-2 at the break. Dean was able to coast in the second half to the 11 goal victory.
Andrew Kydes was 10-15 on faceoffs while also adding a late goal on a time and room stepdown from 15 yards. Jake anderson started the game for Dean and made 2 saves giving up 2 goals. Madison Olsen finished for the Bulldogs, making 3 saves on 7 shots.
Abbot led the Eagles with 2 goals and 1 assist. Brandon Beard also scored 2 goals and Visco and Sean Donahue added 1 goal each. James Bushey made 16 saves.
Dean outshot Daniel Webster 52-21 and led in ground balls 37-33.
The Bulldogs next travel to Salem State on Tuesday for a 7 PM tilt with the Vikings.
