WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced two Dean College softball players have been named to this year's All-Conference roster. Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, Mass.) was named to All-Conference Second Team, and Ashley Lester (Blackstone, Mass.) was named to this year's All-Sportsmanship team.

This is the second time that Ramos has been given All-Conference distinction. She was previously named to the 2023 GNAC All-Rookie team. Meanwhile, Lester earns All-Sportsmanship honors for the second time of her career.

Finishing her final year with the program, Ramos turned in yet another impressive season. The utility player appeared in all 32 games for the Bulldogs, recording a batting average of .408 with 42 hits, 12 RBIs, 16 extra-base hits, two home runs, and an on-base percentage of .462.

Her doubles (14) and home run totals were both the highest marks of her career.

Amongst other batters in the GNAC, Ramos ranked fifth in batting average, second in doubles, and fifth in slugging percentage (.602). Ramos also totaled one of the lowest strikeout rates in the entire conference (4.9%).

For her efforts on and off the field this season, Ramos was awarded the college's Michelle Porter '90 Female Athlete of the Year award. This was also awarded in-tandem with her efforts in the fall with field hockey.

Meanwhile, Lester earns a spot on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship roster for the second time in her career. Despite being kept off the field due to injury, Lester diligently displayed the qualities associated with good sportsmanship and character.
