Worcester, MA- The Dean College men's golf team competed in the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on Monday, finishing 10th place overall. The Bulldogs were successfully able to defeat Lesley University, shooting a 357 overall score compared to Lesley's 402.
After 18 holes of action, the Bulldogs had two players shoot an 85 overall. First-year standouts
Dawson DiBarri (Swampscott, MA) and
Benjamin Godburn (Montville, CT) tied in score, but DiBarri finished just four spots ahead of Godburn.
Matt Brangiforte (Wrentham, MA)Â finished third in team scoring, shooting a 90 overall and his second-highest of the spring calendar.
Brodie White (North Brookfield, MA) ended the day fourth in team scoring, shooting a 97. Senior
Liam O'Neill (Taunton, MA) ended the day with a 105. As a whole, four of the five scorers for Dean shot under 100 overall, marking the second time this season at least three scorers have shot sub-100 in a tournament.
The Bulldogs will play in their final tournament of the season this Friday, traveling to Wenham Country Club to dual with the Gordon Fighting Scots. This also marks the final event in Dean's 2024-25 athletic calendar.Â
