Softball: Sydnee Ramos Becomes 1st Player in Program History to Reach 100 Career Hits

Franklin, MA- Dean College softball junior Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, MA) recorded her 100th career hit in Wednesday's double-header with Bay Path University. Ramos is now the first player in program history to reach 100 career hits.

Ramos, who already broke the all-time hits record, has quickly become one of the best players in program history. The junior possesses a career batting average of .399, including 30 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.

In this season alone, Ramos has set career-high numbers, including a staggering .464 batting average in 16 starts. This mark puts her second in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Her 26 hits in the season also ranks her within the top-20 of the conference.

In addition to her hitting accolades, Ramos also has a season fielding percentage of .904, the second highest of her career (.949, 2023).

The New Bedford, Massachusetts native broke the program's all-time hits record on March 26th of this year versus Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Her three-hit performance in game two of the series pushed her past alumnus, Miranda Seacord.

Ramos and the Bulldogs will look to bounce back in their Sunday GNAC series at the University of Saint Joseph (CT). To learn more about Ramos and the Dean College softball program, please visit https://deanbulldogs.com/sports/softball.
