Franklin, MA- After making five saves on Homecoming Weekend, Dean College Field Hockey goalkeeper Sara Gardner (Hampstead, MD) has reached 200 saves in her career. She is just the second player in program history to reach the milestone.

Since her arrival in 2024, Gardner has quickly become a staple in the starting lineup. In 18 games for the Bulldogs last season, Gardner posted 123 saves with an impressive .759 save percentage. She also recorded three shutouts in the year.

On top of her program numbers, Gardner also ranked 45th in the nation in saves per game (6.83).

This season, Gardner already has 88 saves in 12 starts, including an even better save percentage of .822. Her 7.33 saves per game currently sits at 34th in the nation.

After reaching the milestone, she now joins alumnus Mackenzie Fillion as the only other player to surpass 200 career saves.
