NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sept. 11, 2021 - The Dean College men's soccer team was edged by Albertus Magnus, 1-0, in Saturday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match. 

Dean goes to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the GNAC. The Bulldogs return home for a non-conference tilt against Emerson on Wednesday. Albertus Magnus improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Falcons host Elms on Wednesday. 

The lone goal of the match came in the 28th minute on an unassisted strike by Carlos Lopez of Albertus Magnus. 

Davonn Smith (Lowell, Mass.) and Sean Doherty (Chelmsford, Mass.) each had a shot on target but Albertus Magnus goalie Garfield Robinson turned away both shots to earn the clean sheet. 

Dean senior goalkeeper Bryce Antoch (Cranston, R.I.) finished with six saves. 

The Falcons held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
