FRANKLIN, Mass. – April 11, 2021– The Dean College women's lacrosse team fell to the visiting Lasers of Lasell University, 21-8, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Sunday.

Prior to the game, Dean honored senior Hannah Salvadore (Barre, Mass.) for her years of commitment and dedication to the women's lacrosse program. She can be seen pictured above with Dean College President Paula M. Rooney, Ed.D.  

The Bulldogs wore teal socks at today's game to support Sexual Assault Awareness on the final day of Division III Week. 

Lasell improves to 3-1 both overall and in the GNAC. Dean falls to 0-3 and will host Johnson & Wales on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The Lasers outscored Dean 11-5 in the first half behind four goals from graduate student Jordan McComb and three goals from junior Sydney Brady. For the Bulldogs, sophomore Maire Brown (Huntington, N.Y.) found the back of the net three times.

In the second half, Lasell continued to click on offense scoring 10 times, while holding Dean to three tallies, which all came from Brown.

Lasell was paced by McComb's 11 points on five goals and six assists. She added eight draw controls and seven ground balls. Brady finished with five goals and an assist. Emily Chapdelaine and Caroline O'Leary added three goals apiece.

Brown led the way for Dean with six goals and three draw controls. Sophomore Jasmine Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.) contributed seven ground balls, three draw controls, three caused turnovers, a goal and an assist. Shania Springer (Bay Shore, N.Y.) also scored a goal.

Dean sophomore goalie Jada Fields (Acushnet, Mass.) made 13 stops in the loss.
