Box Score FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Dean College Bulldogs fell to Bay Path University on Thursday, 22-2 at Grant Field. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-3 on the year.
Bay Path got off to a quick start, racing to a 10-0 lead with 13 minutes remaining in the first half. Dean was able to get on the board at the 11:47 with an unassisted marker from Kim Dickson. Bay Path scored the next 7 goals of the half to take a 17-1 lead into the break.
Dean tighted up their defense in the second half and held Bay Path to just 5 goals while scoring 1 of their own. The Bulldogs goal was scored by Kirsten Jobst at the 9:30 mark on a free position shot.
Bay Path was led by Kaylee Herring, who had 7 goals and 2 assists, and Elena Helming, who had 8 goals and 1 assist. Dallas Jackson also scored 4 goals. Kristina Tran made 2 saves to get the victory.
Dickson and Josbt scored the goals for the Bulldogs. Dickson also led the team with 5 ground balls. Madison-Bailey Felton made 11 saves in the cage for Dean.
The Bulldogs next contest was scheduled for Saturday against Thomas, but it has been postponed due to the weather. The game will be rescheduled at a later date. Their next game is now Wednesday, March 15th, home against Mt. Ida.
Bay Path next plays March 23rd at Green Mountain College.
