Playing against a much taller team, the Dean men's basketball team had a tough time scoring inside all day long in dropping their opening round game to UMaine-Fort Kent 76-63.  Playing some tough defense, the Bulldogs only trained at the half by three, but foul trouble to their top regular season scorers plagued them throughout the contest.

Dayvon Russel led all Dean scorers with 14 points while John Lambert added 10.  UMF's Joe McCloseky led all scorers with 28 points.

The men return to action in the consolation round on Thursday at 11:15am, when they face the loser of the Illinois Tech-Florida College game.
