Box Score Franklin, MASS.- The Dean College Bulldogs battled throughout the night, but eventually came up short against a talented Brandeis squad. Naquwan Solomon and Kendall Hamilton led the way with 14 points apiece, Solomon added 10 rebounds as well.
The Bulldogs and the Judges traded baskets for the first 12 minutes of the game. Tied at 20 after a made freethrow from Brandeis' Tim Reale, the Judges closed the half on a 20-8 run to take a 40-28 lead into the locker room.
Dean came roaring back after halftime, closing the lead to 5 on an Aziz Gilliam jumper at 17:23, but the Bulldogs would get no closer. Brandeis responded with 5 straight points from Jordan Cooper (23 points/14 reb) to push the lead back to 10.
Dean continued to battle but Eric D'Aguanno took over for Brandeis down the stretch. D'Aguanno scored 16 second half points for a game high 24. He shot 7-12 from 3 point range.
D'Aguanno scored 10 straight for the judges, capped with a free throw at 4:36 that stretched their lead to 78-63 and put the game away.
In addition to Solomon and Hamilton's 14 points apiece, the Bulldogs were paced by 10 points each from John Lambert and Jerel Carter and 8 from Jaquan James. Aziz Gilliam chipped in 7 points and 4 assists, and Justin White contributed 6 points and 5 rebounds.
Brandeis was led by D'Aguanno's 24 points, as well as 23 and 14 from Cooper. Reale scored 15 and added 4 assists and Nate Meehan nailed 3 triples to finish with 9.
This was the Bulldogs first contest since a loss at NJIT on Dec 22. This loss drops them to 8-7 on the year, while the win improves Brandeis to 5-6.

Brandeis hosts Carnegie Mellon on Friday at 8:00 PM.
