The baseball team needed to sweep CCRI at home this weekend to qualify for the Region XXI Championship series, and they did just that, beating the Knights, 2-1, 2-1.  In two well-played games, Kevin Ciprian singled in Rosario Missiti in the bottom of the eighth inning in game two to give them the sweep they needed.

Dean finishes with a Division II record of 5-5, while CCRI dropped to 4-6.  Dean will now face the top-seeded team, UConn-Avery Point, in a best of three series starting next friday ay UConn.
