Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Tripped Up By Albertus Magnus, 4-0

Franklin, Mass.- Playing their third game in four days, the Dean College Bulldogs women's soccer team was defeated by the visiting Albertus Magnus Falcons, 4-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Tuesday at Grant Field. With the loss, Dean drops to 2-7-1 (1-3 GNAC), while the Falcons improve to 6-1-1 (2-1 GNAC).

How It Happened:
  • Albertus broke through in the 21st minute when Stacey Casorla scored her first goal of the game, assisted by Alyssa Barthick. 
     
  • The Bulldogs held firm throughout the rest of the first half, elevated by tremendous play in the goal from senior Danielle Reinhard (Las Vegas, Nev.) to keep the score at 1-0 heading into the break.
     
  • Albertus added another goal in the 58th minute, again off the foot of Casorla, this time assisted by Julia Tsakonas. 
     
  • Dean threatened in the following minutes, with a shot from Kenzie Sherburne (Durham, N.Y.) angling for the bottom corner before it was turned aside by Falcon keeper Lilliana Novicki
     
  • The visitors punched in two more goals late, on markers from Natalya Pennant and Valerie Cardoza.
Up Next:
The Bulldogs are back in action for another GNAC contest this Saturday when they host Rivier University at Grant Field at 12 p.m.
