DUDLEY, Mass. – The Dean College Women's Soccer team suffered a loss in a non-conference match up on Monday afternoon, falling behind in the first half, leading to a 2-0 defeat to Nichols College. The Bulldogs now sit at 2-6-1 overall (1-2 GNAC play) while the Bisons improved to 1-5-1 (0-2 CNE).  

How it Happened:  

• The Bulldogs opened the contest with a shot within the first 60 seconds, as junior Alyssa Caney (Holyoke, Mass. ) sent a high shot that ended up above the crossbar.  

• Senior goalkeeper Danielle Reinhard (Las Vegas, N.V.) recorded her first save of the match in fifth minute, stopping a shot sent in by Maggi Cullivan.  

• The Bisons struck first with a goal in the 22nd minute, guided in by Gianna Masciadrelli for a 1-0 lead.  

• Sophomore Colleen McIntrye (Southwick, Mass.) had two shots on goal in the match up as a substitute, both in the first half.  

• Nichols added on the insurance goal in the 41st minute by Megan Tucker, putting the Bisons up 2-0, which they carried into the half.  

• The Bulldogs put up seven shots throughout the second half, led by two from senior Kacie Consolini (Stafford Springs, Conn.), but the Bisons held the lined and pitched a second-half shutout to secure a 2-0 win.

• McIntyre (3 SH, 2 SOG) 

• Consolini (3 SH)
