NEWTON, Mass– The Dean College Women's Lacrosse team was shutout in an 18-0 loss to the Lasell University Lasers on Saturday. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 1-6 in GNAC play, with a 1-9 overall record on the season. The Lasers improved to 6-2 in GNAC play, and 8-2 overall.
How it Happened
-The Lasers opened with two goals from Ruby Cahill in the first five minutes of action. They finished with eight goals in the first frame.
-Goalkeeper
Shea Cassani (Belgrade, Maine) made 15 saves in the contest, facing 33 shots on goal.
-Lasell added an additional three goals in both the second and third quarters and finished with four goals in the fourth quarter.
-Lasers goalkeepers Joy Sayah and Tia Spenlinhauer combined for the shutout as goalkeepers, each appearing in net for 30 minutes each.
