FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Dean College women's lacrosse team took down Mitchell College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Monday afternoon by a final score of 9-6. With the conference win, the Bulldogs improved to 2-9 (2-6 GNAC), while the Mariners dropped to 0-8 (0-7 GNAC).
Notables:

Bella McQuade (Attleboro, Mass.) netted four goals in the win, marking the first hat trick of her collegiate career.
-Junior
Shea Cassani (Belgrade, Maine) also grabbed a major milestone, securing her 300
th career save in-goal.
How it Happened:
-The Bulldogs found the back of the net first in the opening minutes.
Caroline Ramsey (Shreveport, La.) netted the goal, unassisted, to put Dean up 1-0. Just over two minutes later,
Ali Murphy (Middleboro, Mass.) scored to advance the lead to 2-0.
-Mitchell fought back towards the end of the frame, netting two consecutive goals from attacker Chloe Jennings. Jennings finished the day with four of Mitchell's six scores.
-Dean closed the first half strong, scoring thrice to go into halftime with a 5-2 lead. McQuade scored two of her four goals, accompanied by a goal from senior
Emma Mock (Tunkhannock, Pa.).
-The Bulldogs dominated the scoring column in the third quarter, scoring four goals compared to Mitchell's one. McQuade led the charge with the final pair of her four-goal performance.
Ailey Pequita (Enfield, Conn.) also scored a goal, assisted by Mock.
-Lauren Cordero scored her second goal in the game during this frame, keeping the Mariners in striking distance.
-The highlight of the second half was the goalkeeper play from Cassani, who made five saves against the Mitchell offense.
-Despite one more score from Jennings, the Bulldogs stymied Mitchell in the final frame to take the 9-6 victory.
