FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Dean College baseball team was defeated in their Thursday non-conference contest with Nichols College by a final score of 10-4. With the loss, both teams shift to 15-12 on the
season.

How it Happened:
-Nichols jumped out quickly in the first inning, capitalizing on multiple hits to plate five runs and take
early control at 5–0.
-Dean answered in the bottom half of the inning.
Gavin Goss (Glenwood Landing, N.Y.) delivered an
RBI double to bring home
Tyler Giambra (Prospect, Conn.), getting the Bulldogs on the board.
-Nichols continued to build its lead in the third inning, adding a run on a sacrifice fly to make it 6–1.
-The Bison extended the advantage in the fourth, as a two-run home run pushed the score to 8–1,
shifting momentum further in their favor.
-Nichols added to its cushion again in the fifth inning, using another two-run homer to stretch the
lead to 10–1.
-Dean began to chip away in the sixth inning, as Goss came around to score on a wild pitch, sparking
a late push.
-The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure in the seventh, with
Case LaChance (Latham, N.Y.) scoring
on a Nichols error to cut the deficit to 10–3.
-Dean added one more run in the eighth inning. LaChance lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home Dylan
Altermatt (North Branford, Conn.), trimming the margin to 10–4.
-Despite the late rally, the Bison's pitching staff remaining intact to keep the Bulldogs down. Nichols
took the win by the final score of 10-4.
