NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dean College softball team handed Albertus Magnus College their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss of the season on Wednesday afternoon, taking game two by a final score of 4-3. The Bulldogs split the GNAC doubleheader and moved to 7-14 on the year (4-5 GNAC). Meanwhile, the Falcons shifted to 15-12 (9-1 GNAC).

GAME ONE: Albertus Magnus College 5, Dean College 0
-Albertus Magnus struck first in the opening inning, capitalizing on an error to bring home an unearned run and take an early 1–0 lead.

-The Falcons added to their lead in the fourth inning, using a pair of runs to extend the margin to 3–0 and shift momentum further in their favor.
-Albertus Magnus continued to apply pressure in the fifth inning, tacking on two more runs to build a 5–0 advantage.
-Despite the deficit, Dean continued to compete offensively, with Liana Silva (New Britain, Conn.) adding a hit and Ashlee Mastrodomenico (Middleboro, Mass) working quality at-bats to generate opportunities.
-In the circle, Bryce DeGasparre (Attleboro, Mass.) delivered a complete-game effort, allowing just five hits and two earned runs while working through multiple high-pressure innings.
-Dean's defense recorded key outs to limit further damage late, but Albertus Magnus maintained control to secure the 5–0 victory.

GAME TWO: Dean College 4, Albertus Magnus College 3
-Earlier in the game, Albertus Magnus built a 3–0 lead in the third inning, capitalizing on a bases-clearing triple to put the Bulldogs in an early hole.
-After being held off the scoreboard through the first four innings, Dean broke through in the fifth inning, stringing together timely hits to plate three runs and take control of the game.
-Ramos sparked the rally with a multi-hit performance, while Leah Chamberlain (Burlington, Vt.) delivered an RBI to help jumpstart the Bulldogs' offense.
-L. Silva added a key RBI knock during the inning, and Nina Ostafin (West Hartford, Conn.) contributed with a run-producing play to cap the three-run surge. The game was now tied going into the sixth inning.
-In the next frame, the Bulldogs jumped into their first lead of the day. Ramos produced an RBI single into center field, allowing Kilpatrick to score. Dean now led 4-3 going into the final frame.
