WORCESTER, Mass. – The Dean College baseball team fell to Clark University on Wednesday afternoon by 8-6. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 14-9 on the year, while the Lynx advance to 15-8.

How it Happened:
-Clark got on the board first with a double from Michael Soares, which led to Jake Faulkenham scoring. Clark got another by Cole Miller sacrifice fly, leading to Dom Mariani scoring.
-Dean responded in the 3
rd with a
Gavin Goss (Glenwood Landing, N.Y.) single, leading to
Jacob Paschetto (East Longmeadow, MA.) and
Nick Amendolara (Bayville, NY.) scoring. The game was now tied going into the bottom of half.
-The Cougars took the lead again in the fifth inning via walk.
-The sixth inning proved to be the game's largest, with both teams scoring a combined seven runs. Both Amendolara and
Colin Favata (Syosset, N.Y.) recorded RBIs, followed by another knock from Paschetto. Dean held a brief 5-3 lead going into the bottom of the sixth.
-However, Clark regained the advantage with a four-run frame. They tallied three hits in the run as well.
-By the 7
th,
Dylan Altermatt (North Branford, Conn.) scored on an error by the 1
st baseman, Michael Soares. This put Dean back in reach, 7-6.
-Clark then scored one more in the 7
th by Michael Salzillo, giving them an 8-6 advantage. After a scoreless top of the ninth, the Cougars took the win by the previously mentioned score.
