Colorado Springs, Col. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has announced that 11 Dean College field hockey players were named to this year's National Academic Squad. In addition, two players earned Scholar of Distinction honors.
The Bulldogs were one of 147 institutions, across all NCAA Divisions, to be recognized in the National Academic Squad.
The following athletes were honored in this year's squad:
Kelsey Blair (Carmel, N.Y.)
Jordan Boelig (Tilton, N.H.)
Shea Cassani (Belgrade, Maine)
Jadyn Crowell (Bordentown, N.J.)
Sara Gardner (Hampstead, Md.)
Emily Kilpatrick (Marion, Mass.)
Sophia Klanchesser (Portsmouth, N.H.)
Emma Mock (Tunkhannock, Pa.)
Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, Mass.)
Hailey Sykes (Pitman, N.J.)
Emily Yazzetti (Mahopac, N.Y.)
These 11 athletes earned Academic Squad status by achieving a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher through the Fall 2025 semester. This status not only reflects their academic achievements, but their outstanding character on the field.
In addition to earning spots on the National Academic Squad, Mock and Klanchesser were recognized as 2026 Scholars of Distinction. This is Mock's fourth time earning the distinction, while Klanchesser earns the first of her career.
Athletes are recognized as Scholar of Distinction by achieving a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.9 or higher through the Fall 2025 semester.
