Felicio Secures Eight Kills in Men’s Volleyball’s Loss to Lyons, 3-0

NORTON, Mass. – Senior Arthur Felicio (Saugus, Brazil) secured eight kills for the Bulldogs in men's volleyball's 3-0 loss to Wheaton College on Tuesday. With the loss, the Bulldogs dropped to 3-4 on the year, while the Lyons improved to 3-5.

How it Happened:
-Felicio netted the team's first kill on just the fourth point of the match. Hunter Armitage (Westerly, R.I.) swung him the assist. Noah Allan (Windham, N.H.) shortly followed suit with a kill of his own.
-Connor Lloyd and Jack Kenyon, however, played a crucial role in Wheaton's early lead. They each scored consecutive kills, giving the Lyons a 10-5 lead in the first set.
-Dean made a valiant comeback in the middle moments of the set, bringing Wheaton's lead to just one point. Jerney Price (San Antonio, Texas) secured multiple kills in a 7-2 Dean run.
-However, the Lyons quickly found their footing. Kenyon and Jeremy Bullard-Smith led Wheaton to eight of the next 13 points to secure the 25-21 set victory.
-Price continued his poise at the start of the second set. He secured Dean's first two kills from assists by Armitage.
-However, errors proved to be costly for the Bulldogs in the middle set. Dean committed 10 errors in the second set, all of which on the attack. Wheaton took advantage and won the final set by a final score of 25-14.
-Armitage grabbed Dean's opening kill in the final set. Travis Johnson (Taunton, Mass.) found the box score with an assist on the play. Dean also took advantage of Wheaton errors, giving them a 6-4 lead.
