Men’s Volleyball Soars Past Fisher College in Second Win of Season, 3-1

Brookline, Mass. – Riding a balanced effort from top to bottom, the Dean College men's volleyball team defeated Fisher College on the road by a final score of 3-1. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 2-1 overall, while the Falcons drop to 0-4.

How it Happened:
-The Bulldogs dominated the first set, winning by a score of 25-12. Noah Allan (Windham, N.H.) and Travis Johnson (Taunton, Mass.) each scored kills to get the party started. Antonio Varela (East Providence, R.I.) shortly joined them afterward.
-Dean continued to strike offensively through the first set. They would have 11 kills across 18 total attempts. They also had just one error in the 37 combined points.
-The second set brought similar results for the Bulldogs. Johnson scored back-to-back kills to open the set, followed by four consecutive efforts from Brandon Mimande (East Providence, R.I.). Senior captain Arthur Felicio (Saugus, Brazil) also got involved with multiple scores.
-Dean took the second set with a final score of 25-16.
-Fisher began to mount their comeback in the third set. Carlos Diaz and Carlos Posado opened with a service ace and kill. Yassine Sbay followed suit with a kill of his own.
-Errors became the issue for Dean in the third set. The Bulldogs' attack suffered five errors across 21 attempts. This allowed Fisher to swoop in and force a fourth set by a score of 25-23.
-However, this would be the farthest Fisher came to a win. Dean stomped on the Falcons in the final set by a score of 25-17. Felicio, Allan, and Mimande led the offense at the net. This was accompanied by seven Fisher errors. In the end, Dean would take the match with a final score of 3-1.
