Purchase, NY- In a closely contested contest, the Dean College field hockey team scored in the final minute of play, defeating Manhattanville University by a final score of 4-3. With the win, Dean now advances to 3-0 on the season, while the Valiants move to 0-3.

How It Happened:

1:03 - Keira Guinan wasted no time putting Manhattanville on the board, capitalizing on a sharp setup from Emma Masie just over a minute into the game. It was a fast start that caught Dean off guard and gave the visitors an early 1–0 lead.
20:39 - As the second quarter progressed, Emma Gragen (Brattleboro, VT) found the equalizer for Dean with a well-placed shot off a clean assist from Emily Kilpatrick (Marion, MA). The goal was Gragen's fifth in three games.
32:56 - Just minutes into the second half, Emelina Leccese put Manhattanville ahead again, finishing a dynamic passing sequence involving both Emma Masie and Leccese herself.
33:39 - The lead didn't last long. Less than a minute later, Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, MA) responded for Dean with an unassisted goal. She took advantage of a defensive lapse, pounced on the ball, and slotted it home to tie things up at 2–2.
40:52 - Midway through the third, Emily Yazzetti (Mahopac, NY) put Dean on top for the first time in the match. Her goal came off an assist from Gragen, flipping the script and giving Dean a 3–2 advantage heading into the final stretch.
45:57 - The back-and-forth battle continued as Shannon Keena scored the equalizer in the fourth quarter. Assisted by Emelina Leccese and Keira Guinan, the goal capped off a well-orchestrated play and brought the game to a 3–3 deadlock with under 15 minutes to play.
59:03 - With less than a minute on the clock, Gragen came up clutch for Dean, netting her second goal of the game off an assist from Yazzetti. The late goal sealed a 4–3 victory for the Bulldogs in a thrilling start to their road trip.
