Milton, MA- The Dean College Football Team fell in their week four matchup with Curry College by a final score of 12-52. With the loss, the Bulldogs now drop to 0-4 (0-3 MASCAC) on the year, while the Colonels pickup another non-conference victory (2-1, 0-0 CNE).
How it Happened & Scoring Summary:
-First Quarter 10:54 – Curry 7, Dean 0: Montie Quinn broke through the middle for a 3-yard touchdown run, finishing off an early Curry drive that set the tone.
-First Quarter 6:16 – Curry 14, Dean 0: Quinn struck again, this time powering in from 5 yards out to double the Colonels' lead.
-First Quarter 3:27 – Curry 21, Dean 0: Quarterback Anthony Santino connected with Kareem Chaplin on a 38-yard strike down the sideline, stretching the advantage to three scores.
-Second Quarter 12:15 – Curry 28, Dean 0: Santino threw his second touchdown of the day, finding Colin Ridley wide open for a 35-yard score.
-Second Quarter 6:12 – Curry 35, Dean 0: Quinn capped off a dominant first half with his third rushing touchdown, bulldozing in from 1 yard out.
-Second Quarter 0:40 – Curry 42, Dean 0: Just before halftime, Santino hit Devyn Tracy for a 19-yard touchdown, completing a flawless half for the Colonels' offense.
-Third Quarter 10:55 – Curry 45, Dean 0: Kicker Ty MacMurray split the uprights from 30 yards, adding to Curry's already commanding lead.
-Third Quarter 5:01 – Curry 45, Dean 6: Dean finally broke through when Dee Means (Buffalo, NY) powered in from 1 yard out, finishing a hard-earned drive. The extra point attempt sailed wide.
-Fourth Quarter 9:14 – Curry 52, Dean 6: Curry's ground game stayed relentless, as backup back Ryan O'Connell found the end zone on a 4-yard rush.
-Fourth Quarter 3:05 – Curry 52, Dean 12: Dean answered late when quarterback J'Shaun Reddin (Norfolk, VA) punched in a 1-yard keeper. The Bulldogs' two-point attempt was unsuccessful.
