Football: Reddin Named Butchie Williams MVP in Homecoming Loss to Panthers, 0-34

Franklin, MA- On a packed Homecoming Saturday, the Dean College Football team was defeated by the Plymouth State Panthers in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action. With the 0-34 loss, the Bulldogs now fall to 0-5 (0-4 MASCAC), while the Panthers improve to an impressive 5-0 (4-0 MASCAC).

Noteworthy Marks:
-Freshman quarterback J'Shaun Reddin (Norfolk, VA) was named the Thomas "Butchie" Williams '75 Player of the Game. Reddin completed 23 passes for 173 total yards, plus six additional rush attempts. His passing performance is the highest by a Dean quarterback in a game since the 2023 season.
-Sincere Wright (Camden, DE) made nine total tackles on the day, leading the team.
-Da'Qwon Foster (Providence, RI) led Dean in receiving, hauling in five catches for 30 yards.

How it Happened & Scoring Summary:

1st Quarter - Plymouth State 7, Dean 0 (10:19) — Reece Davis opened the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run, finishing a steady drive on the ground. Ben Ross added the extra point.

2nd Quarter - Plymouth State 14, Dean 0 (4:56) — Braden Lynn connected with Mitchell Cripps on a 12-yard touchdown pass, extending the Panthers' lead before halftime. Ross converted the PAT.

3rd Quarter - Plymouth State 20, Dean 0 (6:47) — Lynn threw his second touchdown of the game, finding Shawn Harringto for a 4-yard score. The extra point was no good.

4th Quarter - Plymouth State 27, Dean 0 (9:22) — Jayden Graham broke loose for a 28-yard touchdown run, pushing the margin to four scores. Lynn hit the PAT.

4th Quarter - Plymouth State 34, Dean 0 (3:05) — McClellan added the final touchdown on an 11-yard run, and Ross's kick capped the scoring.
