New London, NH - The Dean College men's soccer team grabbed their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, taking down Colby-Sawyer College by a final score of 3-2. With the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win, the Bulldogs move to 1-3-2 (1-1) on the year, while the Chargers drop to 1-4-1 (0-1).
How it Happened:
-The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the board. Senior
Brian Allen (Fort Lauderdale, FL) secured a penalty kick in the third minute, setting him up to score and put Dean up 1-0 early.
-Dean struck again in the 17th minute. Sophomore
Ethan Henderson (Hartlepool, England) scored an unassisted goal in his return to the field. The Bulldogs led 2-0 through the first 20 minutes of the match.
-The Chargers scored their first of the match right before halftime. Colin Riley-Perec found the back of the net in the 42nd minute, making it 2-1 going into the break.
-Coming out of halftime, the game would be a stand-still for the next 15 minutes. Colby-Sawyer would get the first shot of the half after a flurry of substitutions from Dean's side. However, it would be the Bulldogs striking once again.

Clay Tyler (Attleboro, MA) would net his first of the season, unassisted, to put Dean up 3-1 with 13 minutes remaining.
-Colby-Sawyer's Kaden Lewis would make it a one-score game in the 82nd minute. However, Dean would successfully hold off the comeback the rest of the way. The Bulldogs would win the match by a final score of 3-2.
