Men's Soccer Grabs First Win of Season in GNAC Matchup with Chargers, 3-2

New London, NH - The Dean College men's soccer team grabbed their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, taking down Colby-Sawyer College by a final score of 3-2. With the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win, the Bulldogs move to 1-3-2 (1-1) on the year, while the Chargers drop to 1-4-1 (0-1).

How it Happened:
-The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the board. Senior Brian Allen (Fort Lauderdale, FL) secured a penalty kick in the third minute, setting him up to score and put Dean up 1-0 early.
-Dean struck again in the 17th minute. Sophomore Ethan Henderson (Hartlepool, England) scored an unassisted goal in his return to the field. The Bulldogs led 2-0 through the first 20 minutes of the match.
-The Chargers scored their first of the match right before halftime. Colin Riley-Perec found the back of the net in the 42nd minute, making it 2-1 going into the break.
-Coming out of halftime, the game would be a stand-still for the next 15 minutes. Colby-Sawyer would get the first shot of the half after a flurry of substitutions from Dean's side. However, it would be the Bulldogs striking once again.
-Clay Tyler (Attleboro, MA) would net his first of the season, unassisted, to put Dean up 3-1 with 13 minutes remaining.
-Colby-Sawyer's Kaden Lewis would make it a one-score game in the 82nd minute. However, Dean would successfully hold off the comeback the rest of the way. The Bulldogs would win the match by a final score of 3-2.
