Franklin, MA - The Dean College football team was defeated in their home opener by Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Saturday afternoon. With the 0-28 loss, Dean drops to 0-2 (0-2 MASCAC) on the season, while the Buccaneers advance to 1-1 (1-0 MASCAC).

Forced Fumble – Corey Leverette (McDonough, GA): Leverette was successfully able to punch the ball out on a rush by Zach Proctor, allowing Dean's

2nd Quarter

56-yard TD run – Santiago Martin: Martin burst through a seam and sprinted down the sideline, outrunning the secondary for a highlight 56-yard touchdown. PAT good.

• (9:57) — 36-yard TD run – Brooks Moss: Just a few minutes later, Moss cut right and broke into the open field, racing 36 yards untouched to the end zone. PAT good. Maritime 14-0.
• (5:59) — 59-yard TD pass – Evan Pierce to Brennan Keefe: On the next series, Pierce found Keefe streaking behind the defense. Keefe hauled it in and sprinted the rest of the way for a 59-yard score. PAT good. Maritime 21-0.
• (1:27) — Forced Fumble – Jerney Price (San Antonio, TX): Right before the end of the half, Price would record a forced fumble on a rush by Sam Cassidy. Jalon Brewer (Baltimore, MD) would recover, giving possession back to the Bulldogs. Dean would go into the locker room trailing the Bucs.
-3rd Quarter
• (2:10) — Forced Fumble – Price: The defensive lineman would strike again in the third. His strike to punch the ball out on a rush would allow Nico Gilmore (Galt, CA) to scoop and secure the recovery. However, the Bulldogs still trailed heading into the final quarter of action.
-4th Quarter
• (6:27) — 1-yard TD run – Zach Proctor: Capping a grinding 12-play, 51-yard march, Proctor plunged in from the 1-yard line behind his offensive line's push. PAT good. Maritime 28-0.
