Franklin, MA- The Dean College women's soccer team was defeated by Framingham State University on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 0-2. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 0-4 (0-1) while the Rams move to 1-2-1.
How it Happened:
-Framingham State jumped on the board in the 30th minute with a goal from Sarah Bashore. The unassisted goal gave the Rams the early 1-0 lead.
-The Rams scored again in the second half. Melissa Romeiro found the back of the net in the 51st minute to bring the score to 2-0. Framingham State would secure the win based on these two goals.
-Over the course of the match, Dean would produce a total of five attempted shots.
Kassidy Martins (East Providence, RI) had a shot on-goal, along with
Lainey Buffington (Plainfield, CT) and
Amelia McQuiggan (Taunton, MA).
-Dean goalkeeper
Lexi Gerow (Pownal, VT) would play all 90 minutes of the match. The senior made an impressive 20 saves while allowing just the two goals.
