Franklin, MA- The Dean College men's soccer team dropped their Sunday matchup with UMass Dartmouth by a final score of 0-2. The Bulldogs now fall to 0-1 on the season, while the Corsairs move to 2-0.

How it Happened:
-The Bulldogs opened the game with quick pressure. Ayomide Talabi (Hamilton, NJ) forced a shot on-goal, which was quickly saved by goalkeeper Ethan Donahue. Shortly after, Will Chase (Charlotte, NC) managed to get a shot of his own. 
-Both sides would keep the action neutral for much of the first half. However, in the 23rd minute, the Corsairs struck first. Mario Rodriguez found the back of the net, giving UMass Dartmouth the early advantage. 
-Dean would see consecutive shots by Ethan Zigler (Lake Worth, FL) and Raul Maldonado (Spring Hill, FL) towards the final minutes of the half. Ciaran Phibbs (Yonkers, NY) also recorded a shot on goal. However, going into the break, Dean still trailed 0-1.
-Out of the half, the action remained steadfast. The Bulldogs managed to draw a yellow card from UMass Dartmouth, gaining some traction in the opening minutes. However, they were unable to find a shot on-goal. 
-With the match remaining 0-1 until the final minutes, UMass Dartmouth would seal the deal in the 82nd. Nick Scanlon would score the goal, giving the Corsairs the final goal of the afternoon. UMass Dartmouth took the win by a score of 2-0.
